The man, identified as Pintu Yadav, was active in Bihar and Jharkhand, a senior police official claimed.
"The smuggler who was arrested today on questioning said that he used to supply narcotics (ganja) from Jharkhand to different districts of UP. His property in Jharkhand was also attached earlier, but he was not caught," Superintendent of Police, Sachindra Patel, said.
Today he was caught on the basis of surveillance and on specific tip-off, Patel added.
