Man held for duping another of Rs 1 lakh

A man has been arrested for allegedly conning a man of Rs 1 lakh on the pretext of getting him a job in the army under Sadar police station here, police said today.
Chote Lal Rajput, a resident of Bulandshahar was arrested yesterday from Cantt Station area for posing as a Colonel in the Army and duping Arun Sharma of Rs 1 lakh after promising him a job in the forces, they said.
A case has been registered against the accused on the basis of the complaint filed by Sharma, police said.
According to the police, the accused had been arrested for a similar offence by Lal Kurti police two years ago and was out on bail.
