"The accused, identified as Govind, had an extra-marital affair with a woman and they had a daughter. Before the affair, the woman had another daughter," Banjara Hills Police Station Inspector S Santosh said.
"Govind allegedly forced his paramour's first daughter into flesh trade and had been earning money out of it for the past several months. He also used to beat her," the Inspector said.
The girl had gone missing last year and was traced. She again went missing on January 3, after which her mother lodged a complaint.
On the basis of the girl's complaint, the accused was arrested yesterday and a case registered under relevant sections of the IPC, police said, adding and investigation is on.
