Rohit Gousar was nabbed by the city unit of the state cyber police cell.
The 24-year-old, working as a daily wager in an institute, befriended a woman member of the family of retired army man Badrilal Malviya (70), the official said.
Later, he managed to get details of Malviya's pension account and ATM card from her, Jitendra Singh, superintendent of police (SP) at the cyber cell, said.
For transferring money from the pension account to an e-wallet, he also managed to procure the OTP (one time password) sent on the mobile number of Malviya, he said.
Later, Gousar sent this money into the bank accounts of his parents, the police officer said.
When the Malviyas came to know about the fraudulent withdrawal, they lodged a police complaint following which the accused was caught.
Police seized a mobile phone and two SIM cards used by Gousar in the crime.
