According to the complaint filed by the mother of the siblings with police, her two daughters, aged 8 and 10 years, had gone to Chhhotraypur chhak to procure grocery items on Wednesday evening when the accused lured the girls with chocolates and took them to his cabin and molested them.
The matter came to light when the victims told their mother about the incident after returning home on Wednesday. A case was subsequently registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the victims' mother.
Police said the accused has been booked under POCSO Act and under various sections of the IPC.
He said the investigation was underway, and the victims and the accused are being medically examined.
Police said the accused was forwarded to the court today and later sent to judicial remand after his bail plea was rejected.
