Based on the complaints from two members, including a woman, of the group, Cyber Crime Cell sleuths of Crime Branch CID nabbed the accused and seized the phone used for taking the obscene photographs of the child and circulating it, a police release said.
The accused, identified as Vetrivel, who hails from Ariyalur district, allegedly confessed to the crime, the release said.
Meanwhile, the Cyber Crime Cell, CBCID has registered three cases in the last two months pertaining to uploading child pornographic material on social networking sites.
