Man held for rape and murder of five-year-old girl

Police today arrested a 24-year- old man in connection with the rape and murder of a five-year- old girl in Damerakunta village in the district last month.
Venkata Swamy, who was neighbour of the girl in the village, allegedly committed the crime on February 27, said Karimnagar SP D Joel Davis.
Swamy has been remanded in judicial custody.
