Man held for raping his minor daughter

A man was today arrested for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter for the past one year, police said.
The arrest was made after the victim lodged a complaint against him.
As per the complaint, the victim, a class X student, was being raped by her 56-year-old father for the last one year. The accused runs a hair-cutting saloon, while the victim's mother goes out daily to work as a domestic help, Sub Inspector Shashi Dhurve told reporters.
"The accused lived with his family in Aadhartaal area. Yesterday also he tried to rape her after her mother stepped out of house. However, the girl opposed and informed her mother about it later, following which a complaint was lodged in this regard and he was arrested," he said.

The accused has been booked under section 376 of IPC and various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, police added.
