Man held for sexually assaulting mother

A 25-year-old man was arrested today from a village in the district for sexually assaulting his mother over the past few days, often in an inebriated state, police said.
They said the man was arrested based on complaint by his mother from a village near Pala town in Kottayam district.
The woman had complained that her son had repeatedly assaulted her over the last few days after coming home drunk.
He has been charged under IPC Section 376 (punishment for rape), they said.
