A 29-year-old man was arrested today following a complaint by a woman who accused him of keeping sexual relation with her for five years on the pretext of marriage, in Odisha's Jajpur district, police said.
The accused was arrested after the woman, 25, in her complaint with police, said that after five years of "sexual exploitation", he refused to marry her when she asked to tie the knot, Inspector In-Charge of Kuakhia Police Station Asish Kumar Sahu said.
The woman approached the local police yesterday, when she came to know that he was planning to marry another woman, Sahu said.
Based on the complaint, police started an investigation into the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC, and later the accused was nabbed from his residence, the police officer said.
