Fareed Mohammad, a habitual offender, molested the victim on August 23 following which a complaint was lodged with the Udhanpur police station, they said.
Taking prompt action, police teams were dispatched to various places in Kashmir, Jammu and Punjab to apprehend the Mohammad.
The accused was arrested from Qazigund area of Kashmir last evening, police said.
A case has been registered in this regard, they added.
