Man held with 3.5 kgs of cannabis in Jammu

Police have arrested a man with 3.5 kgs of cannabis in Jammu, winter capital city of the state, a police officer said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police laid a naka at Bikram Chowk in the city and intercepted a person carrying a bag yesterday, he said.
During checking, 3.5 kgs of cannabis was recovered and the man was arrested. The accused has been identified as Om Parkash, painter by profession, he added.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway, police said.
