Man hit by MP minister's vehicle succumbs to his injuries

A 25-year-old man was killed and another was injured after allegedly being hit by Madhya Pradesh Minister Gopal Bhargava's vehicle in the Begamganj police station area, a police official said here today
The victim, Ramkumar Gujjar (25), who was rushed to the state capital after being seriously injured by a vehicle which was carrying Bhargava, died on the way to the hospital late last night, Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) O N Tandon said.
After the incident, Bhargava rushed the injured to a hospital in Raisen, with the help of the police, he said.
According to the official, Sunil Gujjar (18) who was pillion riding on Ramkumar's motorbike has been discharged after treatment.
Both the victims hailed from the adjoining Vidisha district and were returning home after attending a function in Begamganj area when they met with the accident, the SDOP said.
After the incident, the vehicle of the minister was impounded and his driver Sanjay Agrawal, who escaped from the spot, has been booked, Tandon said.
