Man kills elder brother for beating wife

A 24-year-old man was arrested today for allegedly killing his elder brother for beating wife in Loni Kotwali area here, police said.
Manoj (30) arrived at home around 2.30 AM in a drunken state and began thrashing his wife Anita following heated arguments, SHO Avdhesh Pratap Singh said.
In the morning, he repeated the same with his wife when his younger brother, Ankit, stifled and pushed him back forcibly due to which Manoj lost his balance and fell down on the floor. He sustained injuries in his head and became unconscious, Singh said.
Manoj was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead, the SHO said.

Upon the complaint of Kirshan Pal, their father, an FIR was lodged against Ankit, who has been arrested and sent to jail, he said.
The body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death, he added.
