Bharat Tadvi attacked his mother Shantaben Tadvi with an axe during a heated argument at their home in village Lachhras under Rajpipla taluka in adjoining Narmada district, about 70km from here, two days ago.
Tadvi, who was on the run, was arrested today, A V Katkar, Inspector at Rajpipla Police Station, told PTI by phone.
Tadvi demanded Rs 20 from his mother for purchasing liquor. When Shantaben, a 60-year-old widow, refused to part with money, he got furious and attacked her with an axe, causing fatal injuries, he said.
