A man killed his 70-year-old mother after she decided to give a share in her property to her daughter here, police said today.
The victim, Chanda Devi, owned some property at her parental home in Saurai village and at Nagla Sanwaliya and wanted to give a part of it to her daughter Ramshri.
However, her son Hari Singh and grandson Rajkumar were strongly opposed to it. Therefore, they came to her home at Nagla Sawaliya some days ago with an intention to kill her, they said.
The man along with his son shot dead his mother while she was taking a bath yesterday.
The police have sent the bullet-ridden body for post-mortem and teams have been constituted to arrest the accused, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ajay Kumar Pandey said.
