Man murdered in Ghaziabad

One person was murdered in a dispute over a plot of land near Arthala Peer on GT Road in Sahibabad area.
The incident took place last evening when the victim, identified as Asif, protested against the act of land-grabbing by the accused, ASP Vipin Tada said, adding, the land belonged to a woman in New Hindan Vihar colony near Arthala Peer.
The assailants then fired shots at Asif and fled the spot, he said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the ASP added.
An FIR has been registered at Sahibabad police station against Mufti, Dilshad, Shamshad, Anurag, and Sachin after a complaint by Asif's family members.

Mufti has been arrested while other four are still at large, he said.
