Man rapes mentally challenged woman, held

A 22-year-old mentally challenged woman was allegedly raped by a man on the pretext of giving food in north Delhi's Kashmere Gate area, police said today
The woman could not inform anyone about the incident but a rickshaw-puller got to know about it and informed the police, following which the accused Rahul was arrested, they said.
The accused works at a shop nearby. He tried to escape from the area when police reached his shop along with the rickshaw-puller but was nabbed, they said.
The incident happened a few days back. However, the date and time of the incident is not yet known.

Rahul allegedly called her on the pretext of giving her food and then forced himself on her, they added.
The woman is currently being treated at a hospital and is being counselled, police said.
