Man rapes woman; uploads video on web

A woman has allegedly been raped by a man on the pretext of marrying her, in Sawaimadhopur district, police said today.
The accused, identified as Aasif, also filmed the incident, and uploaded it on a social networking site few days ago, following which the woman lodged a complaint against him on Monday, a police officer said.
"The 23-year-old woman said that Aasif had promised to marry but then raped her in 2009. He also filmed the video without her knowledge and uploaded it on a site few days ago," Circle Officer, Rakesh Bairwa said.
He said the woman was married to some other man nearly two months ago.

"The accused was held from his shop on Monday night and placed under arrest under appropriate sections of the IPC, IT Act and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) act," he said.
