The body of a man, who was missing from his residence since yesterday night, was found beneath a culvert here, police said today.
"The man has been identified as Surendra Singh (30), a salesman with a cooperative society situated in Kalapipal area. We have found blood stained stones and empty liquor bottles from the site where the body was found," said Kotwali police station in-charge, Jorawar Singh Sisodia.
He said that the case, as per preliminary investigation, looked like one of murder and further probe on this aspect was underway.
He informed that the deceased's family had filed a missing complaint with the police yesterday night.
"The body has been sent for autopsy and further investigations will begin after we get its report," the official said.
