Man sentenced to 10 yrs of rigorous imprisonment in rape case
Additional District and Sessions Judge Gurjant Singh announced the sentence yesterday and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on convict Gura Singh, a resident of Jhandiana West here.
In an FIR lodged with the police on July 29, 2013, the victim had complained that the accused had forcibly entered her home when she was alone. He then allegedly raped her.
