Jajpur District and Sessions Judge Jeevan Ballav Das convicted Basudev Sahu (45) of Kulaharipur village of raping the nine-year old on March 3, 2012 and sentenced him to 15-year imprisonment.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on him.
The judgement was delivered after examining the statements recorded by 22 witnesses and the police charge sheet.
According to prosecution, Basudev had raped the nine year-old girl after having lured her with biscuits at an abandoned house in his village.
