Judge N N Parmar of the special court for Protection of Children from the Sexual Offences Act cases awarded life sentence to Sanjay Parmar (25), the accused.
On December 31, 2013, Parmar told the victim girl, who lived with her parents at Kankapura village, that her mother was going to her parents' house after fighting with the girl's father and she had asked the girl to follow her to the grandparents' house.
He was arrested two days later and booked under sections 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code and under POCSO Act.
