Man shot dead by militants in Hazratbal

Suspected militants today shot dead a person inside his house in Hazratbal area on the outskirts of Srinagar, police said.
Abdul Ahad Dar, a resident of Astan Mohalla locality of Hazratbal, was shot by two unidentified gunmen inside his house, the police said.
Dar, who was working in the Mechanical wing at Rainawari hospital, was rushed to Soura medical institute where he succumbed to injuries.
The gunmen fled the scene after shooting Dar and a hunt has been launched to nab them, the police said.
No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
