The incident took place yesterday night in Madawali when Deepak Kushwaha (30) was shot allegedly by some persons of the same village due to election rivalry, police said.
While Deepak died on the spot, one Chandraveer of the village was injured in the incident.
An FIR has been lodged in this connection and hunt is on to nab the the accused, police said.
