Man shot dead in Jamshedpur

A 42-year-old man, who was
recently released from jail and joined the BJP, was shot dead in Mango area here today allegedly by a neighbour, who is a Congress leader.
The victim, Daboo Dixit, was returning home by foot from a nearby shop near Munshi Mohalla locality when three unidentified persons, who were waiting for him on a motorcycle fired three bullets towards him, Officer-in-charge of Mango Police Station, Laxman Prasad said.
Dixit, who joined BJP at a function in Mango yesterday, was taken to Tata Main Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
According to preliminary report, a neighbour of Dixit who is a local Congress leader was involved in the killing, Prasad said adding Dixit had been jailed as a result of an attack on that leader.

Five empty cartridges were recovered from the spot.
The body was sent it for post-mortem.
