Man shot dead in Vasant Kunj

A 22-year-old man was shot dead after he intervened in a quarrel involving his friend, the police said today.
The incident took place last night in Vasant Kunj. The deceased has been identified as Ajay alias Mangal, they said.
His brother Rakesh told police that he and Ajay had gone to help a friend after learning that he was in trouble.
However, when they reached the spot they were attacked with bricks. One of the accused, identified as Krishna, allegedly shot Ajay, police said.
He was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said.
The other accused were identified as Sumit, Deepak, Amit, Vishal and Saurabh.

Police said some of them were arrested today.
