Man strangulates second wife to death

A 35-year-old man allegedly strangulated to death his second wife with whom he had frequent quarrels as he had kept her in dark about his first marriage, police said today.
Atul Burman, of Kalher in Bhiwandi township of Thane district, had tied the knot with Lata (27) sometime back without informing her that he was already married, Narpoli police station sub-inspector Manohar Awhad said.
Later, when Lata got to know about Atul being already married, the couple used to have frequent fights over the issue.
Frustrated with the domestic quarrels, Atul strangulated his wife to death on Sunday night and fled, police said.

The accused has been booked under section 302 (murder) of the IPC, police said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab him.
