The accused Shamshad was lodged in jail in connection with the month-old case and recently came out on bail. He had been pressurising her to take back the case but the 25-year- old woman refused to relent, SHO K P Singh said.
The woman claimed in her complained that Shamshad entered her house forcefully yesterday and poured kerosene on her but she managed to escape before he could light a fire, the SHO said.
