Man trying to resolve quarrel killed

A 45-year-old man was killed when he tried to intervene into a fight between a man and his wife today, the police said.
The incident occurred when L Tata Rao entered the house of his neighbour Vijayaraju and his wife Bhavani.
According to police, Vijayaraju hit Rao with an iron rod on his head in a fit of rage.
He was rushed to nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Bhavani sustained serious injuries after her husband attacked her too, police said.
