A 31-year-old passenger was today arrested at Kempegowda International Airport here for allegedly trying to smuggle 4.7 kg of cannabis from Bengaluru to Doha via Mumbai, the Narcotics Control Bureau said.
The NCB said the consignment was packed in plastic packets and concealed between "chow chow" mixture food packets.
The passenger had kept it in the trolley bag, the NCB said in a release.
On detection, the Central Industrial Security Force personnel alerted NCB's Bengaluru zone and customs officials at the airport who seized the consignment.
The release said the man, who hailed from Kochi, was later remanded to judicial custody.
He has been lodged in the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail, it added.
