"Commissioner's Task Force (South Zone Team) sleuths yesterday nabbed the accused Syed Irfan, who fled to Saudi Arabia to evade arrest, from Shah Ali Banda area here, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police B Limba Reddy said.
During interrogation, Irfan "confessed" that during the March 29, 2010 communal riots, he was part of an unlawful assembly at Shah Ali Banda, which was armed with deadly weapons and assaulted majority community members.
Two people were killed and two others were injured in the riots, the police said, adding they also burnt their vehicles.
