The man has been identified as Ankit from Shamli district, who was carrying a reward of Rs 15,000 on him, SP (City) Akash Tomar said.
Cases were lodged against him in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat and Ghaziabad districts, and Uttarakhand's Roorkee, the officer said.
Ankit has been arrested and further investigation is underway, Tomar said.
