Vikas Sharma, 55, working with a five star-hotel at Candolim in North Goa, was arrested yesterday after an 18-year-old girl working with the hotel complained that she was raped by him after he spiked her drink, Calangute police told PTI.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on Thursday night when two female hotel employees were offered lift by the accused.
On the way, the accused reportedly offered soft drink to both the girls.
"The victim felt drowsy after having the drinks but the accused assured the second girl that he would drop her safe to her room," a police official said.
Sharma has been booked under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), while his statement was being recorded, police said.
Further details of the alleged offence would be known only after Sharma is interrogated, they added.
