Operations between the two stations on the network's Violet Line came to a complete halt for over four hours. ITO is one of the terminal stations on the line that connects Faridabad to the national capital.
Metro authorities said the disruption was caused due to a train developing technical snag at the platform of Mandi House, the station that precedes ITO station.
"Train services at ITO Metro station of Line-6 (Violet Line) were disrupted today between 7.48 AM and 11.40 AM due to immobilisation of a terminating train at the platform of Mandi House Metro station," a DMRC official said.
Regular trains services resumed from ITO station, the eponymous area which houses a number of government and private establishments, around 12 PM after the immobilised train was removed from the section.
