Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi will be meeting a team of online streaming service Netflix this week to ensure gender-sensitive and child-friendly content are displayed on the platform, a senior WCD official said.
Gandhi had earlier held a round-table conference on cyber crimes against women and children, where representatives from Twitter and Facebook, among others, were present.
Netflix India reportedly wants to collaborate with the ministry to come up with more gender-sensitive and child-friendly content, according to the official.
The decision to hold the meeting comes amid the online streaming service's move to expand its content library for the Indian market.
