Das has been serving RSP in various capacities since beginning of his career in SAIL in 1980 and was the Executive Director (Projects) before taking over as Executive Director (in charge) of the steel plant recently, a statement from RSP said today.
A BE in Metallurgy from NIT, Durgapur, Das started his career as Junior Manager in the Blast Furnaces Department of RSP.
"I will continue to contribute my best for the interest of the Steel Plant and the Steel City. Together, we shall overcome the challenges which are facing us and take Rourkela Steel Plant to greater heights," he said in a message to the Rourkela collective after taking over the new charge.
