In his first appearance on Facebook live chat as Delhi BJP chief, Manoj Tiwari today slammed AAP government for "failing to fulfill" its promises and invited Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for a debate on the problems faced by the people.
The Bhojpuri singer and actor-turned-politician in an hour-long chat picked up comments and questions while attacking AAP government and Kejriwal even as he said that politics should come next to solving problems of the people.
"I appeal to Kejriwal, his government and ministers to come with me on my visits to villages, unauthorised colonies and learn the problems faced by people. Do not run away from the problems solve them, politics can wait," he said.
He said that he was ready to sit with Kejriwal whereever he liked and respond to his allegations that he was stopped from work by the Prime Minister and Lt Governor.
"You curse Prime Minister Narendra Modi every morning and hit the LG below the belt. I am ready to sit with you and talk about the problems of people and ready to do whatever you like for solving them," he said.
Tiwari listed the "failures" of government in providing proper transportation facilities, providing amenities at unauthorised colonies, opening new schools, deputing marshals in DTC buses and installing CCTV cameras and charged Kejriwal with spending Delhi's money for his "political expansion" in other states.
"Please do something yaar so that Delhi does not go back 15 years," he said.
The chat received 2.1K reactions including 1,071 comments. It got 25,000 views in an hour.
