The counter intelligence of the Punjab police nabbed the Maoist leader from the district in wee hours.
"The leader of the banned outfit, Dhinbandhu Pater aka Maoist Lava aka Devender, was nabbed in a raid conducted by the Punjab police with assistance from Jharkhand police in Jalandhar in the morning," police official said.
"He used to live here under a fake name of Suraj Munda. Police has sent him in judicial custody and has been taken for interrogation," he said.
He came to Jalandhar in 2014 and worked in the city with an identification of Suraj Munda, he informed.
