"Maoists are adopting new strategy and create fresh corridors at various places. Depending on the movement of the Naxals the security forces also should move accordingly and establish themselves in new areas," Sharma who took charge as the new DGP said after a review meeting on the maoist situation in the state.
He said the forces are facing infrastructural and related issues such as logistics. The review meeting was also attended by IG of BSF and CRPF. It discussed how soon the challenge can be addressed so that forces are comfortable and their morale remains high.
Sharma also said that two additional platoons of central forces are needed to deal with Naxals affectively.
