A group of around 50 Maoists stormed into the project office of M/S Hari Construction Company near Turki railway station located 10 kms from Muzaffarpur junction at around 02.00 AM today and torched 14 vehicles and equipment, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ranjeet Kumar Mishra said.
The ultras also assaulted three security guards of the company, he said.
The arson at the railway project has been carried out allegedly due to non-payment of levy by the company, Mishra said.
A police contingent has rushed to the spot to provide security to the company and its employees engaged in track doubling project, he said.
