Mariah Carey announces new album
Press Trust of India Los Angeles Pop diva Mariah Carey has unveiled the title, cover, release date and the tracklist for her 14th album.
Titled 'Me I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse', the album will arrive on May 27.
Carey, 44, said that the album took its title from a "personal possession of mine that's part of an entity that I've had almost all my life", said the Hollywood Reporter.
"Please don't judge me for such a simplistic title. Come on, I was only three and a half," Carey said.
The singer also said that the second half of the album's title, The Elusive Chanteuse, is a nickname that she has adopted recently, following other personas and nicknames like Mimi and MC.
