Family members of the deceased said her husband had sought a car from them in dowry and killed her when they failed to meet the demand, Additional SP (Rural) Jagdish Sharma said.
On the basis of their complaint, an FIR has been registered in the matter, he said.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
