A large number of UPP supporters and workers with posters and banners and shouting slogans participated in the mass demonstration program.
UPP chief U G Brahma, its Kokrajhar district committee (KDC) president Rabiram Brahma, general secretary Budhadave Mushahary and other party leaders joined the mass demonstration.
The UPP submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Deputy Commissioner demanding distribution of land pattas (deeds) to Scheduled Tribe and traditional forest dwellers, rehabilitate of the victims of the December 2014 violence in the district, BPL ration cards to beneficiaries and stop distribution of the cards by BPF activists.
