According to Crime Branch of Delhi Police, accused Gurpal Singh is also wanted in connection with three separate cases lodged here and a reward of Rs 50,000 had been declared on his arrest.
Singh was evading arrest in connection with the case in which armed men had robbed Rs 40 lakh from an employee of an ice-cream firm in Rajouri Garden here on July 12 this year, police said.
The incident had taken place when the employee was going in his car to deposit the company's money in a bank.
"On his sustained interrogation, it was revealed that Gurpal Singh and his cousin Lakhvinder Singh had conspired to rob cash of Kwality Walls Ltd as Lakhvinder had information that huge cash from the firm is being deposited in bank daily," Yadav said.
He said that after committing the robbery, Gurpal alongwith his family had fled to Punjab and then to Mumbai to evade arrest.
