BJP MP Hema Malini today likened the crime scene in her own constituency to that during the rule of mythological tyrant king Kansa, saying she will apprise the Uttar Pradesh chief minister about the deteriorating law and order situation here.
Malini was here to meet the families of the traders who were shot during a robbery at jewellery shops in Koyalawali Gali on May 15.
"It seems that Kansa has reappeared and started living in the land of Lord Krishna. I have heard that the crime rate has increased in Mathura. This was not the situation earlier," she said.
Stressing on the need to curb the crime rate, the MP said, "I will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and apprise him about the situation."
"I am with you and I assure you all possible help and security," she said after visiting the family of the traders.
Assuring the families that the remaining two accused in the case will be arrested, Malini said, "Within four to five days of the incident, six people were arrested and most of the loot was recovered. The remaining robbers will also be nabbed."
The MP also visited Amar Colony and met the children of a couple murdered earlier this year.
When the eldest of the three children, Rakhi, told the MP that there was no breakthrough in the case even after 75 day of the incident, she said, "The case would be worked out shortly.
