He was earlier working as Deputy Managing Director of the healthcare provider.
Mehta has been associated with the Max Group for more than 14 years and after being transferred from Max Life Insurance (MLI) in April 2014, was working as the Deputy Managing Director of Max Healthcare (MHC).
"In his new role, Rajit will provide strategic thinking, dedicated execution and a sense of confidence to MHC as the company pursues its growth goals, explores organic and inorganic growth opportunities and invests in new capabilities, while sustaining the already high clinical outcomes," Max Healthcare said in a statement.
Max Healthcare, at present, has 12 hospitals with 1,900 beds offering services in over 30 medical disciplines. Of this nine facilities are located in Delhi & NCR and others in Mohali, Bathinda and Dehradun.
