The company had a standalone net profit of Rs 8.36 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, Max India said in a BSE filing.
Total income of the company declined to Rs 39.91 crore during the fourth quarter from Rs 217.6 crore in the year-ago period.
On consolidated basis, the net profit of the group nearly doubled to Rs 279.62 crore for the fiscal compared with Rs 139.45 crore year ago.
Total income of the group increased to Rs 14,876.59 crore in 2014-15 compared with Rs 11,683.26 crore previous fiscal.
However, on account of slump sale of Max Speciality Films division on April 1, 2014, the figures for previous periods are not comparable, it added.
