Max temperature hovers close to normal in Punjab, Haryana
Press Trust of India Chandigarh The maximum temperature today hovered close to normal level for this time of the year at most places in Punjab and Haryana.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius, up a notch against normal.
Hisar recorded a maximum temperature of 34.1 degrees Celsius, down two notches than normal, a MeT Department official said here.
Chandigarh's maximum settled at 35.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees over normal limits.
Amritsar, which received light rain, recorded a day temperature of 27.8 degrees Celsius, which was seven degrees below normal.
Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 33.5 and 34.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
