Max temperatures hover below 40 deg C mark in Punjab, Haryana

A day after Punjab and Haryana were hit by duststorms, maximum temperatures in both the states hovered below the 40 degrees Celsius mark for the second day today.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 38.2 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department said.
In Haryana, Ambala registered a high of 37.4 degrees Celsius while Karnal recorded maximum temperature of 36.5 degrees Celsius, both settling within the normal limits.
Hisar recorded a high of 39.9 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 35.7 degrees Celsius, down two notches against normal.
Ludhiana recorded a high of 39.1 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature in Patiala settled at 38 degrees Celsius.
